Ultra

To me, the 1980’s conjure up images of bold fashion with big shoulder pads, mullets, catchy synth music and neon hued interiors. The decade had intense energy, confidence and a relentless optimism that inspired me to create Ultra.

At the heart of Ultra the narcissus shines. Its rich and radiant character brings to life the vibrant spirit of the 1980’s. At the same time the flower’s name and its narcotic and intoxicating aroma also hint at something darker as they recall the Greek myth of Narcissus - a cautionary tale that was most likely lost on the hedonists of the decade. - Hiram Green
